Better Relations Day started in 1948 by the Presidents of both Auburn University and the University of Alabama, it was founded to build and promote the best possible athletic relationship between the two schools in hopes of leaving our spirited rivalry on the field.
Student representatives of Auburn and Alabama began arranging joint meetings to plan for friendly cooperation between the two student bodies. Since then, Better Relations Day has more recently grown to encompass the exchange of not only leadership ideas and policies, but also to increase the quality of our peer institutions.
